Halloween tidings, Look who’s come for Trick or Treat
Hurricane Sandy
Last year in NY (2011) we had a freak snow storm for Halloween and ‘no’ that doesn’t happen here often (this was the only time in my lifetime).
Now, this year, we are getting a late season Hurricane. Hurricane Sandy is predicted to slam into NJ making the strongest winds and title surges upon NY and Long Island. Looks like it may be a bad one for us. Got together our flashlights, candles, bottled water, canned goods, and charcoal briquettes for cooking on the grill. They’ve evacuated coastal areas, (which I am not in) and cancelled everything, schools, public transportation, events, etc. for Mon. and Tues.
Hurricane Sandy is gonna’ put a damper on the Halloween activities, for sure. Hope the power stays on. We’re hunkering down, talk to you when its all over.

Yes, you stay safe, too! I’m not near the coast either, just a lot of wind here. I know I’m gonna’ loose power – there’s a big oak tree on my neighbors property that is bending and creeking in the wind, most of its branches sit right above the utility wires.
